On June 3rd we are organising a fantastic festival on the Lodewijk Napoleon square, where we will be welcoming our new residents of the following streets:
- Albertina van Nassaustraat
- Prinses Mariannehof
- Philips Schonepad
- Willemstraat
- Lodewijk Napoleonlaan

Do you live in het Vonderkwartier and would you like to welcome the new residents to our neighbourhood ? Then please join us on the square on Saturday afternoon the 3rd of June! To start the festival we will be going to welcome our new residents accompanied by our very own ‘troubadour’ Luc Vaessen. The residents of our city nursing home “Vonderhof’ we also join us.
We will be there at around 12.50 so that we can set off at exactly 13.00. We hope that a lot of you will join us as we find this fitting to our special Vonderkwartier neighbourhood.
Do you live in a lovely new house or apartment in the above named streets, and you would like to get to know the other residents in our neighbourhood, it would be great if you could join us !
When we arrive at the square the festivities begin with coffee and cake, the circus, a pub quiz, performances and D.J. Peter. This will be followed by a delicious meal for those who have made reservations. Check the complete programme below.

On Saturday, June 3rd, we celebrate our neighbourhood with a festival on Lodewijk Napoleonplein. Activities continue throughout the day (and night), including:
Programme:
13.00u: A welcome to our new residents;
music by Luc Vaessen, be there!
13.30u: Coffee, tea & cake on the Lodewijk Napoleonplein
14.00u: Presentation of new book Vonderkwartier*
to the Councilor of housing & neigbourhoods
From 1.30 pm: Activities on the Lodewijk Napoleonplein
– circus for all the neighbourhood children (rehearsal:1.30-3pm)
– meanwhile ‘all time favorites’: bouncy cushion, candy floss,
popcorn, fun time & music at ’t Vonderke.
15.00u: Circus show by the children
15.30u: Vonder & Vonderhof choirs, Wilhelmina brass band
17.45u: Dinner on the square (register before May 17th by filling in the form in your mailbox or as attached here) & French fries stall for the children.
19.30u: Pub quiz (start thinking about your team!) – register at the stall on the square
21.30u: Dancing: DJ Peter
*Sunday 4th June:
11.00u: Coffee + pick-up & sale Vonder book
13.30u: Guided tour of the neighborhood.
